All Day Care at Legacy Academy

Legacy Academy is continuing to offer weekday all-day care for children 7 - 12 years old during the COVID-19 outbreak.   Hours are 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.  Due to the county-mandated limits on gatherings, enrollment space is limited.

Daily tuition is $35.00 for one child or $60.00 for 2+ siblings while the weekly fee is $150.00 for one child or $250.00 for 2+ siblings.  Parents are asked to provide their children with a daily box or sack lunch but the academy will provide the youngsters with snacks.

New Games at the Legacy Academy!

The Legacy Academy Activity Center in Fitchburg added two wonderful new games to its lineup of table games and arcade games in March.  A Lane Master bowling alley has been placed in our 2nd floor "Kids Wonderland" play area and a Let's Go Island two-seat shoot 'em up game in which the players fend off pirates, angry sharks, and other fierce characters has been added to our 1st floor.  Both games were purchased from Bullseye Games in Madison which also expertly installed them. 

All 34 table games and arcade games at the Legacy Academy are always set on free play.  Their use is included with the open gym admission fee of $6.00 per child or with the birthday parties that are reserved here.  Youngsters open gym sessions are offered daily, 365 days a year!

Holiday Youngsters Open Gym Hours

A great way to spend some quality time with your children over the holidays is to take them for an open gym visit to the Legacy Academy Activity Center.  To make it as easy as possible, the academy will host its regular weekday open gym hours on all of the holidays.

Open Gym Hours on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day will be as follows:

 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.  

The open gym admission fee of $6.00 per child entitles your family to a play session of up to two hours.  Of course, all 34 of our table games and arcade games will be set on free play, as usual.

Are you a little ambivelent about clowns?   It seems that they often get a mixed reception nowadays.  In any case, we have a new game coming soon that the kids (& dads) will enjoy . . .

We expect Bullseye Games of Madison to be delivering this fun new ball throwing game to Legacy Academy by mid to late November.

Halloween Open Gym Special at Legacy Academy

Happy Halloween ! !

The Legacy Academy Activity Center in Fitchburg will be hosting an all-day open gym session on Wednesday, October 31 from 9:30 am to 8:30 pm.  The admission fee for a play session of up to two hours will be half-price at $3.00 per child.  All children (who survive the Haunted Castle) will also receive a treat or treat goody bag.

Before School & After School Programs / 2018-19 School Year

The Legacy Academy Activity Center is offering an After School Care program during the 2018 - 19 school year exclusively to students 7 to 12 years old who attend the nearby Stoner Prairie elementary school and the Verona Area International School in Verona.  Transportation to the academy shall be provided by Badger Bus following the end of each school day. 

The After School weekly tuition is $60.00 for one child or $100.00 for two or more siblings.  The daily tuition option is $20.00 per child or $40.00 for 2+ siblings.

Upon arriving at the academy the students will have access to the computers, gymnastics & tumbling equipment, swing sets, playsets, play houses, jumping towers & landing pits, climbing ropes & nets, table games, and arcade games at our 8,000 square foot indoor playground facility.  The children will also be treated to a snack item everyday.  The parent pickup time is anytime up until 6:00 pm.

In addition, the Legacy Academy will be offering a Before School program on "late start" Mondays.  The academy will be open on Mondays by 7:00 am for student drop-offs.  The participating students will be transported to the Stoner Prairie school building by the start of their classes at 9:35 am.  The weekly tuition for the Before School program is $20.00 for one child or $30.00 for two or more siblings.

The Before School program is available for children 5 to 12 years of age.  This age range has been previously approved by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families.

Open Gym Program on 4th of July

The Legacy Academy Activity Center will be open for open gym from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm on the Fourth of July holiday.  The admission fee is $6.00 per child which entitles participants to a two-hour play session from the time of their arrival.  Hope to see you soon!

All Day Care Program at Legacy Academy

Commencing on June 1, 2018 the Legacy Academy will again start offering a weekday all-day care program for children 7 to 12 years old.  Parents will be able to drop off their participating children anytime after 7:00 am and pick them up anytime up until 6:00 pm in the evening.

This program is not a summer camp . . . it will not include daily field trips as the academy had offered for several years.  However, it will provide area families with a safe, fun, and affordable part-time child care option.  Kids will be free to utilize the academy's large indoor air conditioned playground and will also be encouraged to take some time for reading;  hence, it is suggested that parents provide their children with a book each day they participate.  Optional movies will also be shown to the youngsters each week.

The daily rate pricing for the All Day Care program is $35.00 for one child or $60.00 for two or more siblings.  The weekly rate is $150.00 for one child or $250.00 for two or more siblings.  This program will be offered on a year-round basis so feel welcome to call upon us anytime that your child's school is closed for the day.

Parents are to provide their children with a box or sack lunch . . . the academy has refrigerators, freezers, and microwave ovens available on site.  Parents may also prepare snacks for their children to access during the day or parents may sign up their children for a pre-paid snack account which we will administer at the academy.  The academy will also make a treat such as a cookie, popsicle, or brownie available to the kids each day.

All Day Care Program registration forms are available at the academy's front desk or may be obtained via email request.  No registration fee is required for children to be enrolled.  Children may be signed up for a single day or multiple weeks at the parents' option.  Subject to space limitations, kids may be enrolled for a desired day or week with as little as one day's advance notice.

Tuition payments will only be accepted with a credit/debit card left confidentially on file.  Payments will be processed on the Monday following each week of service.

The Legacy Academy Activity Center will be hosting a Youngsters Open Gym session on

Youngsters Open Gym Weekday Hours Extended to 5:00pm

With the strong response to our simplified Youngsters Open Gym hours this summer, we've decided to expand weekday hours to 5:00pm.

Children arriving by 3:00pm can now have a full two-hour play session, and later arrivals can still get a healthy play session before 5:00pm.

Revised Youngsters Open Gym Hours:

Monday through Friday: 9:30am to 5:00pm.

Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am to 11:00am.

Admission fee will remain $6.00 per child for a two-hour play session, with no charge for supervising adults or tots under one year old.

We will streamline and simplify our Youngsters Open Gym Hours during the weekdays. Our new hours will be as follows:

Monday through Friday: 9:30am to 4:30pm.

Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am to 11:00am.

Admission fee will remain $6.00 per child for a two-hour play session, with no charge for supervising adults or tots under one year old.

By eliminating set hours for two-hour sessions during weekdays, we hope provide more flexibility for customers who used to arrive in the middle of scheduled play sessions.

Busy Early Open Gym Session, Friday May 26

We anticipate larger than usual attendance for our 9:30am-11:30am Youngsters Open Gym session on Friday, May 26. We will still be open to the public for that early session, but field trips from nearby day care centers will make the play areas more crowded than usual.

Our other two sessions on Friday, 12:00pm-2:00pm and 2:30pm-4:30pm, should have more typical Spring weekday attendance. Please plan any Friday visit accordingly.

Second Floor Kids Wonderland Expansion Complete!

If you haven't had a chance to visit us recently, come by and check out our new attractions and improvements to the space.

We expanded our second floor Kids Wonderland to accommodate parties of up to 50 people. This has improved both play space for running around and table space for food and birthday cake.

Kids love our new carousel, which seats up to three kids under the age of 5.

We continue to introduce new attractions on the first floor as well. Kids of all ages (even adults) enjoy our new Star Wars: Battle Pod game.
